Metallurgist's Day-2025: a celebration of labor and unity

  This year, the employees of UKTMK celebrated Metallurgist's Day with a special feeling, it became one of the landmark events in the galaxy of events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Combine.

  The celebrations in honor of the professional holiday lasted for several days and combined the main things: respect for work, attention to people and sincere joy from meetings with colleagues.

  On the eve of the Metallurgist's Professional Day, which is celebrated on the third Sunday of July, awards ceremonies were held in all departments of the Plant. The employees were honored for their contribution to the development of the company, for their professional success, and for their dedication to the cause. At this moment, the hearts of the awardees and their colleagues were overwhelmed with feelings of joy and special pride, belonging to a great common cause.

  For the achieved production successes, 103 highly qualified workers and linemen received an award in the amount of 180,000 tenge, 35 employees became laureates of the Metallurgist's Day, 15 employees of the Combine were awarded a certificate of honor from the Kazakhstan branch Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union "QAZAQMETAL KASIPODAGY". Another 20 employees received certificates of honor from the UKTMK Trade Union Committee.

  Two UKTMK veterans, Zhamantai Kazhmuratov and Tatiana Gerasimova, were awarded for their long—term work. Kiln shop No. 3 Yuri Kulikov and smelter shop No. 12 Azamat Kozhakhmetov were awarded letters of appreciation from Akim of the East Kazakhstan region.

  The Plant's employees were also awarded the following awards and commendations:

• Honorary badge of "Kurmetti Metallurg" – 2 employees;
• Medal "Yeren enbegi ushin" – 1 employee; 
• Badge "Enbek Danky" II degree – 7 employees;
• Badge "Enbek Danky" of the III degree – 21 employees; 
• Honorary badge of "Enbek Ardageri" — 7 employees;
• Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan – 8 employees; 
• Certificate of honor from the QAZAQMETAL KASIPODAGY trade union – 47 employees. 
In addition, 6 awards were awarded under the Recognition program.:
• Rinat Amirov — "The Best Leader"
• Yerlan Konchikenov is a "Reliable colleague"
• Alyona Redkina — "For employee training"
• Kazbek Burkashev — "The best employee in the profession"
• The verification and calibration section of shop No. 22 is the "Best team"

  The main festive event, according to the good tradition of UKTMK, was held at the recreation center "Volna". Those for whom metallurgy is a life's work have gathered here. Together with their relatives, friends and colleagues, they enjoyed a beautiful summer day on the picturesque coast of the Bukhtarma reservoir. And the highlight of the celebration was a rich concert program. Its decoration was the performance of the famous Ice Cream Band from Almaty. The live performance of world hits did not leave anyone indifferent. The audience sang along with the artists, danced and did not hide their emotions. An employee of the Plant, Aidos Mukhametkaliev, who is already being called the young star of UKTMK, also performed on stage. His performance of popular compositions caused delight and stormy applause from his colleagues.
"The event was held at the highest level: the organization, the concert, the food, the atmosphere – there was care and attention to all the little things," Zhanat Kainar, head of the Internal Audit Service, shared his impressions. – I was especially pleased that the staff could come with their families. It unites us. This is our common holiday.

  The recreation center also hosted the presentation of high industry awards. Based on a joint decision of the Board of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Branch Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union QAZAQMETAL KASIPODAGY, were awarded:

• Asem Mamutova, President of UKTMK JSC – Kurmetti Metallurg badge;
• Sergey Gavrilov, electrician of workshop No. 7 – medal "Enbek Ardageri";
• Viktor Yerofeyev, forklift truck driver of workshop No. 8 – badge "Enbek Danky" II degree;
• Sergey Loshkarev, Head of vocational school – badge "Enbek Danky" II degree;
• Zhandos Saganov, electrolysis technician of workshop No. 1 – badge "Enbek Danky" of the III degree;
• Arman Kurmangaliev, Head of the Compliance Department – badge "Enbek Danky" III degree;
• Marina Demidova, controller of non-ferrous metallurgy products – badge "Enbek Danky" III degree;
• Rinat Amirov, Head of the Department of Internal Affairs, OT and OS – badge "Enbek Danky" III degree;
• Beysenbai Tanasov, furnace shop No. 3 – badge "Enbek Danky" III degree;

  Metallurgist's Day this year has become a real symbol of respect for history, unity of the team and gratitude for honest work. It was a celebration not only of the profession, but also of human warmth, the bond of generations, and the strength of a common cause.
