The Museum of UKTMK JSC has opened its doors to young guests again. The open Day brought together students of schools No. 34, No. 17 and No. 2, giving them a unique opportunity to touch the history of one of the largest enterprises in Kazakhstan.
For many, this was their first introduction to the world of metallurgy, a world where metal is born and unique technologies are created. On this day, the museum atmosphere was filled with genuine delight and interest in the history of the Plant's formation.
The tour for schoolchildren was conducted by the head of the public reception Bulbul Bakinova and representatives of the Production and Technical Department. Thanks to their stories, the participants seemed to be transported back to the time of the company's founding.
The museum's expositions allowed us to trace how the Plant, which became famous far beyond the borders of Kazakhstan, grew and developed step by step. Archival photographs, models of workshops and equipment came to life in the words of the guides, helping to imagine how the history of the Ust-Kamenogorsk titanium and Magnesium Combine began.
Of particular interest were the models of production facilities and interactive stands demonstrating modern technologies. The students enthusiastically watched how titanium goes from ilmenite ore to the finished metal, asked questions about the professions in demand at the enterprise, and shared their impressions.
No less attention was attracted by the exposition dedicated to people – those who stood at the origins and those who continue traditions today. Here you can see photos and video stories of workers in various professions, learn about labor dynasties and people whose destinies are inextricably linked with the Plant.
Tourists invariably note its informative content, atmosphere and original presentation of the material.
– Thank you very much to the management of UKTMK JSC for the organized tour, – Anton Riznichenko, a student of lyceum school No. 34, shared his impressions. – I liked everything very much. We saw what great prospects the Plant offers both for the city and for future specialists.
The open day at the UKTMK JSC Museum has become more than just an excursion. It was a meeting of generations, a lesson in respect for work and the history of an enterprise that continues to develop while remaining true to its traditions.
